Winchester Model 21 (CSMC) Grade V three bbl set 20, 20, 28

Description:
CSMC Winchester Model 21 SxS shotgun, three barrel set with two 20 gauge barrels and one 28 gauge.  This 21 is a special order gun and it was acquired from the original owner.

Ordered as a 21-5 engraved receiver with three sets of barrels, exhibition grade wood checkered in a 21-A pattern with other bespoke features that will be mentioned below.

The 21-5 engraving pattern is standard but the Grouse on the left panel, the Woodcock on the right panel, the Setter on the bottom and the Quail on the trigger guard were all specified by the buyer.  Internally the frame has “lightning cuts” for weight reduction which were special ordered.  The double triggers and the non-automatic safety were also special ordered.

All three barrels are special ordered:  20 gauge 2 ¾”, 29” long choked IC/Mod; 20 gauge 2 ¾”, 28” long choked Skeet/IC and 28 gauge 28” 2 ¾”, 29” long choke Skeet/IC.  All with raised solid ribs, ivory front beads and gold wire around the breech.

The stock and forearm are crafted from select Exhibition Grade Walnut and finished in a hand rubbed oil.  The forearm is a splinter style.  The buttstock is English/straight hand grip with a 14 ¾” Length of Pull to the checkered butt with 1 ½” Drop at the Comb and 2 ½” Drop at the Heel.  3/8” cast favoring a right-hand shooter.  And note the special ordered, engraved steel heel & top caps.

The gun weighs 6 lbs. 10 oz. with the 28 gauge barrels.  It has been test fired only.

Now for the case..this is not a CSMC luggage case; this is a handmade, Frech fitted leather and oak case made by Marvin Huey.  Mr. Huey has long been regarded among the very top gun case makers in the world.
