Winchester Model 12 Trap shotgun. This 12 gauge pump action was made in 1948. It is mostly original with an updated Graco adjustable buttplate. The gun is in excellent used condition.
This Model 12 Trap has a 29 3/4" barrel with a vent rib. Barrel is marked "FULL", our measurement indicates a .037 restriction. The bolt likely was replaced at some point, as it shows almost no wear on the face. We are unsure if the vent rib is original. Chamber is 2 3/4", gun holds six shells.
The Graco adjustable pad was professionally installed along with the Kick-Eez buttpad. The length of pull is1 4-15” depending on the Graco adjustment, which allows for in /0ut, up or down and a tilt. Some of the photos show the recoil pad adjustment about 1/2” below the comb, 14 1/2” LOP, about 10 degrees of cant. Other photos show the adjustment fully shortened and set like a standard straight stock.
The serial number matches on the receiver and magazine tube, which is also marked "MODEL 12 TRAP". The bluing is excellent, with just a few light scratches, no pitting anywhere. Bore is mirror bright. The stock and forend are Winchester, the grip cap is marked "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS". The wood is beautiful, no scratches or dings and no signs of repair.
The gun has been test fired and works perfectly, and breaks a lot of clays.
