Just in from the estate! Here is a beautiful very early production Winchester Model 12 "stamped Model 1912". This shotgun was built in 1913, only 2 years into production! Chambered in 20 GA This shotgun is in great shape overall and has been custom done by Simmons Gun Works with a vented rib installed on the barrel and Simmons also refinished the gun when they had it. The barrel is 25 inches with a full choke and a nice shiny bore. The barrel is also stamped "Model 1912" instead of Model 12. This was only done on the earlier models. The blued finish is gorgeous and done excellently! Has an orange hi-viz front bead that is easy to see. The custom wood stock and forend are also very beautiful and done in a nice Walnut. There are beautiful patterns in the wood and nice checkering throughout. Length of pull to the factory Winchester butt plate is about 13.75". Very minimal signs of handling on this shotgun. I doubt that they ever used this shotgun after they had it done by Simmons. The action is nice and tight and works excellent. Very solid shotgun overall.
