Pre War Winchester Model 12 SKEET grade 12 ga. w/ plain barrel
Description: Very clean and highly desirable Pre War Winchester Model 12 Skeet grade with a plain barrel in 12 gauge. S/N 761638 made in 1938. 26" plain barrel, choked WS-1, 2 3/4" chamber. 95% original Blue over most with some light oxidation on top surfaces. Wood has some light handling marks/scratches. Nice quality Pre War wood set with its tighter grain, nice figure and extra fine cut checkering. Early, large size silver front sight bead. Bore is mirror excellent, as are all mechanical functions. It's getting hard to find a clean Pre War M12, and this is a good one, as issued with the much less common plain barrel. Most Skeet and deluxe grade barrels were ribbed.
