Winchester Model 1912 16 Gauge Early Field Grade Shotgun
Description: This Winchester was produced in 1925. The shotgun's serial number is 386421. It has the 28 inch round barrel that is Modified choked. The chamber is for the 2 9/16 inch shells. Winchester did not use the 2 3/4 inch chamber until 1927. This shotgun shows no sign of any alterations. The bore is bright with no frosting. The barrel and magazine original bluing would rate a 97% overall condition. The reciever would rate a 97% overall condition with some light spotting by the rear of the reciever. The wood retains all of the original finish. There is no cracks or wood loss. The original butt plate has no damage or wear. This shotgun shows very little use or wear. The bolt face shows hardly a fire ring. The take down feature is very tight with no play. The action is in near new condition. This is a very fine condition early Winchester that has seen hardly any use. This shotgun is in it's original condition as it left Winchester in 1925! Most of these early shotguns were altered to shoot the 2 3/4 inch shells. It is very difficult to find a Model 12 that is not altered today!
