Winchester Model 12, 16 ga. Engraved Pigeon Upgrade. Outstanding.
Description: Superb Model 12 deluxe pigeon grade upgrade, beautifully engraved by former Winchester factory engraver Pauline Muerrle, and expertly fitted with a custom wood set. This is a 16 gauge shotgun with the scarcer 26" solid rib barrel which is stamped modified choke, but measures IC on my brass gauge. S/N 1415136 made in 1952. 99% condition throughout with a mirror bore, along with smooth and proper mechanical functions. The crisp and perfectly executed engraving is a Winchester factory #4 pattern, with primary receiver side panel coverage depicting ducks on one side and bird dogs on the other, along with peripheral scroll accents. The inner action components have been jeweled/engine turned. The nicely figured wood has a piano type finish with expertly cut, multi point checkering panels. The LOP is 14 1/4" to a Pachmayr White line recoil pad. A stunningly beautiful, uniquely appointed, and very rare Model 12 for your collection! Comes with letter of authenticity from Pauline Muerrle.
