1962 Vintage Winchester model 12 Riot Gun. 12ga. SN 1,898,861. 20.5 inch barrel. Cyl choke. 14 1/4 LOP butt plate. This classic Law Enforcement Riot Gun retains approximately 95% of it's original blue finish with only minor handling marks. It is perfect mechanical condition with an excellent bore. The forearm is in excellent shape as well. Most of the wear is on the buttstock which shows normal wear with rack numbers stamp on either side near the butt plate. There is also evidence that there had once been a brass tack "rack" number affixed to the bottom of the grip that is no longer present. This is very common on Vintage LE, bank guard, messenger, and security service riot guns of the period. These old riot guns are getting tough to find and continue to increase in value. For further reading, a gun very similar to this one was featured in the December issue of The American Rifleman "I have this old gun" article.
