Winchester Model 12 Pigeon Grade 20GA 2 Barrel set Perfect
Description:
I have for sale one of the best looking model 12's I have ever seen. This particular gun is a Pigeon grade 20 gauge two barrel set and according to the serial number it was built in 1956. Both sets of barrels are numbered to the gun, one being Improved Cylinder and the other Full choke. Both barrels are 28 inches and both have the donut post vent rib. These are not ribs that have been added later on, but are just as they left the factory. Stocks are of beautiful American Black Walnut and both forearm sets match the butt stock perfectly. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 9/16 X 14 1/8 over a solid red Winchester pad. The gun is in perfect condition having been sent to the best craftsmen to have the stock refinished, checkering recut, and bluing redone. As you can see in the pictures the lettering is still sharp and crisp, the finish is perfect, and the deep bluing is done properly for the Model 12. No expense was spared in this work. Any glare you see on the bluing or wood is just that, reflections not imperfections. Since no records were kept on these model 12 guns it is impossible to know if the second set of barrels were original to the gun or if they were added at a later date, I can only say with certainty they are a perfectly matched set of barrels. Price of the gun is $5500 plus $75 shipping to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period beginning the day the gun arrives at your FFL.
