Winchester Model 12 Black Diamond Grade 20 Gauge Shotgun
Description: This Winchester was produced in 1927. The shotgun's serial number is 484734. It has a 28 inch solid rib full choked barrel. The forend is the early style 5 1/2 inch hand grip. The Black Diamind stock and hand guard have stunning wood! The wood has vivid figuring and color. The checkering is very sharp and shows very little wear. The buttplate is original to the stock. The gun is marked for 2 3/4 inch shells under the frame serial number. The shotgun shows some light field use. The bore is bright and clear. The action works smoothly. The take down feature is tight with no play. The original bluing would rate a 95% condition with some fading where the shotgun is carried. The stock may have some old clear coat added to bring out the wood figuring and color. The "pull" is 14 inches. The forend shows no sign of added finish. The checkering is not filled in with added finish from the stock. This is a very stunning looking shotgun! The quality of the wood would be very difficult to top today!
