30" SxS dovetailed barrels with solid matted rib, choked improved cylinder & full. 14 1/4"pull from front trigger to leather-covered recoil pad. 1 1/2" - 2" drop. 1/2" cast off.

Highly figured European walnut stocks with Anson-release splinter forend, classic point-pattern checkering, straight English grip, teardrops, and vacant gold initial oval.

Hand detachable sidelocks by Joseph Brazier with engine-turned internals, intercepting sears, gold-line cocking indicators, bushed firing pins, concealed third fastener, and automatic top tang safety with SAFE inlaid in gold. Fine quality scroll engraving covering receiver, extending two inches onto barrels, and with two ducks on left lock, two pheasants on right lock and a pointer on the underside---all inlaid in gold.

Weight: 7lbs. Built 1953. All components numbered 1 in gold---presumably the first gun of a pair. Excellent bores. Tight on the face. Barrels ring like chimes. Ejectors in perfect time. 99%+ barrel blue. 90% casehardening colors. In makers oak & leather trunk case with accessories.
