12 ga Westley Richards gold name "drop lock" Project gun
Description:
Nice Westley Richards project gun. Its a 12 ga and Im told the 30" barrels are choked Mod and Full. It has ejectors too, and that trigger gaurd is for a straight grip stock. All the parts are matching except for the locks. The locks were missing at some point and an American made the replacement locks in the photos. They require final fitting and probably need to be heat treated too. They do fit and work in the gun but dont drop out. Double triggers and the original forearm wood. If you are a gunsmith or have pockets deeper than mine, this might be a project for you. The barrels are without issue except for needing a rust blue. I like the rib inscription too. The action would look very nice with new case coloring. A bit of laser welding is needed on a piece that fits into the front of the receiver...its in the photos. The locks are well made too. All WR guns are bespoke guns...as in made for someone. They are typically never made to be stocked on a shelf...
