The first side-by-side shotgun was invented in England, even before the first shotgun shell was ever conceived. This ageless design has not only been around a long time, but in recent years it has gained in popularity. The old English gunmakers that are still in business charge thousands of dollars for their double-barrels, often making customers wait for years to get one. If you don't like to wait and don't want to spend a small fortune, the Stoeger Uplander just might be the gun for you. Stoeger Uplanders come plain or fancy, with traditional double or single triggers. Stocked with American walnut, the Uplander features either a pistol or straight grip English-style stock. The Uplander is available in two different grades, from a field grade up to the eye-catching Uplander Supreme. There's even a youth model with a 13 in. LOP. For connoisseurs, combo sets are offered in 12-/20-ga. and 20-/28-ga configurations. Whether kicking up rabbits in the back fields or bagging woodcock in alder thickets, there's an Uplander to meet your shooting needs that will also fit your wallet.
