Rare, Excellent Stevens Model 620 Trench Shotgun with Bayonet
Description: This is a very rarely encountered Stevens Savage Model 620 trench shotgun, made as a part of US military procurement during WWII. Unlike its M520 counterpart, this was a hammerless model, very much like Winchester M12. It was produced in trench configuration in limited numbers and is very difficult for a collector to acquire. This particular gun is a textbook example, with correct military markings. It includes the bayonet lug, heat shield, and correct bayonet. Canfield reports that fewer than 10,000 military trench examples were ordered during WW2. This particular example is in fantastic condition with very little wear overall. Terrific bore and smooth action. Receiver and barrel both have the flaming bomb proofs, and the receiver is 'U.S.' marked. The wood parts are in great shape with minor handling wear. The two issues with this gun are: 1: I don't have the original screws for the bayonet lug. As seen in the pictures, the 3 screws have been replaced at some time. 2: I don't have the scabbard for the bayonet. This firearm came out of a military estate that I purchased. Thanks for looking at my listing, and please feel free to message, text, or call me at 402-670-3282 for any additional information.
