MAINWARING 12 GAUGE EJECTOR DOUBLE - GOLD PLATED INTERNAL PARTS

Mainwaring was a retailer of fine firearms at 44 Rue Des Petits, Champs, Paris. This is a Belgian made Anson & Deely style 12 gauge boxlock ejector. A reference book, Sides by Sides of The World has a short description of Mainwaring - "High quality side by side made in Belgium by Francotte". It is quite possible it is a Francotte, however I did not see the typical AF stamp on the barrel flats. This is a quality gun with gold plated internal parts, Purdey style third fastener and ejectors. Barrels are 27 1/2" with .724 mirror bores as original. The right barrel IC (10/1000) while the left is Mod (14/1000). Chambers are 2 3/4". Manual safety. Tight on face / no loose ribs / no cracks to wood. LOP is 15 3/8" (14 3/8" to the end of the wood). Drop at comb - 1 3/8". Drop at heel - 2". Shipping is $75.
