J. P. Sauer Double Barrel Shotgun, 12 Gauge 2 3/4 Inch, 1961 Vintage

Description:
J.P Sauer Side-by-Side Shotgun fitted with 26 inch barrels (choked Mod. & Imp. Cyl.) with solid rib, checkered beaver-tail walnut forearm, checkered walnut pistol grip, cheek rest stock fitted with a black plastic pistol grip cap and serrated black plastic "Original Sauer" butt-plate, single select trigger/safety, color case hardened finished frame and lower tang, rest of gun is blue finished, and chambered in 2 3/4 inch 12 Gauge.  This West German manufactured, 1961 vintage double is in very fine original condition, retaining 60-70% original case colors, 80% blue on the barrel, 85% on the lever, and 50% on the trigger guard.  All screw-heads are un-molested and all plastic parts are in excellent condition, with minimal handling marks.  The bores are bright and the action is tight and functions perfectly.  The forearm is in very fine condition, retaining 75% finish and the stock retains 90% finish with assorted handling marks.  Note: this gun originally was fitted with sling swivels, which are now plugged with screws.                                         CURIO & RELIC
