WW GREENER EMPIRE MODEL BLUE ROCK PIGEON GRADE 12 GAUGE SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOTGUN - 28" BARRELS

28" BARRELS, IMPROVED CYLINDER AND MODIFIED, 2-3/4", DOUBLE TRIGGERS, HALF PISTOL HAND GRIP, SPLINTER FOREND, RUBBER RECOIL PAD, 7 LBS - 11 OZ, 1-3/4" DAC, 2-1/16" DAH, 14-1/4" LOP

English made sideplated boxlock ejector 12-gauge game gun with 28" blacked round nitro proved barrels with rib extension that are fit with ejectors, a tapered raised flat top rib and a brass bead front sight. Proved for 2-3/4" cartridges and choked Improved Cylinder & Modified. The rib is roll marked: "W.W. GREENER, MAKER, 40, PALL MALL, LONDON, WORKS, BIRMINGHAM." with a pigeon engraved on the rib near breech. Bottoms of barrel flats are stamped with original Birmingham nitro proofs and Birmingham 1970 re-proofs for special Magnum 3-1/2 Tons Per Square Inch. The sideplated action body with trace case color hardened finish and blacked cover plate is adorned with rose bouquets and fine English Arabesque scrolls, 'W.W. GREENER.' in banner on both sides of the action body. 'J.T. CARR' in banner on both sideplates. Top of the action body is stippled. The sideplated boxlock action is fitted with Greener's 'Treble Wedge Fast' crossbolt third fastener, a blacked engraved top lever with the left side of the thumbpiece checkered and an automatic safety with "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and lightly engraved slide safety. The double triggers are protected by a blacked and engraved trigger guard ending in an engraved bottom strap with serial number. Select quality walnut stock with half pistol hand grip, fine checkering, vacant stock oval, and splinter fore-end with horn tip and Deeley style lever release. 14-1/4" LOP to a 3/4" Silver's style rubber recoil pad with black spacer, 7 Lbs. - 11 Oz.
