W.W. Greener 12GA

Description:
W.W. Greener 12GA ejector, built in 1897. The barrels are 27 1/2" with very good bores, proofed at 2 1/2" and lengthened to 2 3/4". They are choked IC/MOD The rib is engraved: W. W. GREENER. MAKER. 40. PALL MALL. LONDON. WORKS. BIRMINGHAM. The barrels have a couple small spots of roughness externally, and some bluing loss, primarily at the breech end. The receiver has the maker's name in a flowing banner, surrounded by scroll engraving. (The engraving is somewhat worn.) The gun locks up tight. It has (naturally) a Greener cross-bolt and a Greener side-safety. The ejectors function properly. The fore-end has an Anson push-rod release. The lightly figured wood has some minor scratches, but is overall in good condition. The stock measures 1 1/2" x 2 1/4 x 15 1/8" with slight cast off (for a right hand shot.) The weight is 6 lbs 10 oz.
