Early hammerless sidelock non-ejector with crystal indicators, patent "Lever Grip Lock", and "Block Safety". Good 30"x2 5/8" damascus barrels, silvering out but still attractive, clean bores approx .738/.703" both (full/full). Very tight action, gas vents, quirky Scott pushrod cocking mechanism. Colors fading on partially engraved action w. English scroll and goose on each lockplate, indicating the intended purpose for this sturdy gun. Sideplate screw rhs is a replacement. Nice sound wood, sliver missing nr. fancy forend latch, horn plate, 13 1/4 x 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 w. neutral cast. A real English sidelock for boxlock money, in a period English brass cornered canvas trunk case in sound condition, missing straps.
