Description:
This very unique and very little used Purdey is a beauty that was made by some of the finest Purdey craftsmen of the 20th century, verified by the Purdey records in the "Dimension" books, Actioned by Terry Barrow, finished by Geekie, stocked by Delay and engraved by Geoffry Casbard. (see the photos) Casbard and Ken Hunt worked side by side at Purdeys and were trained by Harry Kell himself. Casbard left Purdeys in 1970 to work on his own, like Ken Hunt had done. Metal is 99%, wood is 99%, all case colors are there and breeches still burnished. As-new in its Purdey leather motor case.

28 inch vent rib barrels, Many rare and very expensive options including Purdey beavertail and POW grip with metal cap, gold washed internals (which Purdey stopped offering around 1972 or so) Great dimensions, single trigger. Very rare Purdey that turns heads and is ready for upland birds, pigeon, clays. I've shot box birds very well with it as well as pheasants. But it has been mostly in its motor case the last 15 years.

Beautiful wood, a beautiful gun. Priced to sell.
