Description:
is a very nice, very shootable antique 14 bore SxS made by J. Dougall of Glasgow, Scotland. The browned 30" barrels mic .685L and .690R. Bores are bright and shiny with scattered light pitting. The stock is in Antique Good Plus condition, with minor splinters missing on both sides of forearm. LOP is 14.25/13.25. Locks are tight and nipples appear modern. A silver plate on underside of forestock readsJ. DOUGALL MAKER GLASGOW. A silver thumbplace on top if wrist reads W.H. HOLDEN. Gun weighs 6.8 lbs. Interestingly, the maker's name has been scrubbed from lockplates. Not sure why. Resale? Who knows? Left hammer has a braized repair. Solid. UPDATE: ORIGINAL EBONY ramrod. Very serviceable antique SxS. $600 + Shipping.
