2 5/8" chambers with Birmingham black powder proof marks
Chokes: .000/.000 CYL/CYL
Bore measurements: .751/.756 proofed at .749/.749
Minimum wall thickness R:0.045 L:0.042
Lockup is tight, no movement between barrels and action with forend removed 
Bores are good overall with some marks that could easily be polished out

Good overall condition, this gun would look really nice with a little tidying up but can be used as is. The barrels have J. Purdey and the period correct address engraved on the rib but this gun does not look like any other Purdey hammergun I have seen and does not have a serial number.

Heavy vintage 12ga English hammerguns with modern stock dimensions are difficult to find and this would make a great target/game gun with very little recoil.
