Description:
Fabulous pre-WW 1 J.P. Sauer 16 gauge sidelock shotgun manufactured in Suhl, Germany in 1906. This gun has 26 ¾ inch side by side barrels. Three ring Special–Gewehr-Lauf-Stahl barrels made by Fried. Krupp in Essen, Germany. These 3 ring weapons grade steel barrels were Krupp’s best barrel steel. The single crown found on the barrel flats was Sauer’s indicator of excellent material and shooting ability. The chambers are 70mm, 2 ¾ inches. Perfect mirror bores. Choked barrels with specific measure on flats 16/1. Anson and Deely sidelock self-cocking receiver. Raised solid file cut rib.

Greener safety, German short hair pointers engraved and the English style buttstock are custom aspects of this fine shotgun.
 
This Model 8 is an amazing 120 year old example in really good condition of J.P. Sauer pre-WW1 Suhl quality.
