Winchester Model 1897 - Slide Action Repeater - 12 Ga. - Beautiful recent restoration by previous owner with new furniture. Walnut stock and forend slide are newer trap style. New butt plate.  26 In. long barrel with a New 5 position Poly - Choke with brass sight bead. 5 round tubular magazine. Bore is clean and mirror bright. Appears unfired since restoration. Barrel and receiver are retaining 100% new professional bluing. Stock and forend are pristine with no handling marks. Includes a new soft sleeve. This beautiful John Browning creation has undergone an elegant restoration maintaining all the features Browning created including the famous Slam Fire capability which made the Model 97 a feared weapon during WW1. A number of variations were offerd throughout the production years. Manufactured from 1897 to 1957. This one was manufactured in 1901. Today's restoration cost would far exceed asking price. Collector quality.
