Riverside Model 315 16 ga, J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. Chicopee Falls, Conn., USA

Description:
This Stevens Riverside Model 315 is in excellent near new condition. It is a 16 ga with 28” barrels bored Full & modified. This was Stevens Arms “low cost leader”. It is marked: Riverside Arms Company/Chicopee Falls, Mass USA/Patented Apr. 20, 1915.These guns were good solidly built work horses ready for the field. It has beautiful case-hardened action and excellent blue-black barrels. The walnut stock & forend are hand checkered and in very good condition without breaks, gauges, or scratches, however the original factory varnish is flacking off in places from age. This is a good serviceable shotgun or hard to find collector gun. It has been in my collection of American double-barrel shotguns for 25 years. These field guns are very rarely found in this condition because they were mostly just used-up. These were very popular. About 200,000 were made between 1912 & 1935.
