Parker DHE 12 gauge 30" M/F

Description:
Parker DHE 12 gauge SxS shotgun.  Very nice D grade Parker made in the fall of 1905.  Titanic steel 30" barrels with original 2 9/16" chambers for 2 1/2" shells; bore diameter in each barrel is .733" and minimal wall thicknesses of .032" in each barrel.  The right is choked .023" which is tight Modified and the left is choked .033" which is a tight Full.  Mirror perfect bores and the exterior is 99% rust blue from a professional refinishing.  The top rib is Parker inscribed and has front and mid ivory beads.  Automatic ejectors, automatic safety and double triggers are mechanical features of the gun.  Nicely engraved "D" grade pattern with sharp dogs, birds and scroll work on the #2 size frame; no case colors remaining.  Screws are all very good to excellent.  Bluing on the trigger guard is faded and worn to about 75%.

The capped pistol grip stock and splinter forearm appear to have original finishes and yet there may have been a coat of varnish added to the forearm.  The stock has a 14 3/16" LOP over a professionally added Hawkins recoil pad; 1 5/8" DAC & 2 1/2" DAH with significant 3/8" at the heel cast for a right hand shooter.

This is a mechanically excellent, strong and solid Parker that would be a great Vintage gun for SxS shooting events.  Weighs 7 lbs. 9 oz.
