****SOLD****Rare Grade 2 L.C. Smith 8ga gun made with fine 32" Chain Damascus barrels. Checkered splinter forend with Gutta percha dog's head insert at center (original). Case hardened action engraved in standard Grade 2 pattern as seen in the photos. Pistol grip buttstock with original lined hard rubber buttplate.
Overall, the gun remains in pleasing original condition. Barrels retain about 70% of their original pattern. Action has toned mostly gray with engraving still mostly nice and crisp. Stocks are sound and retain most of their finish. Top lever is slightly past center but gun does lock up mostly tight. Bores show some light pits but overall still somewhat bright.
These big bore Smiths are near impossible to find with so few being made in total. This gun is an excellent example in far above average condition and should be given serious consideration by any LC Smith Collector or big bore enthusiast.
