Remington 1100 LT-20 Sporting, 20-Gauge, Autoloading Shotgun

Description:
Remington 1100 LT-20 Sporting, 20-gauge, autoloading shotgun with high gloss, checkered walnut stock and forend; a high-polished blued 28 Rem Choke barrel with four Remington choke tubes (SKEET, LMOD, IMP CYL, and MOD), a 2¾-inch chamber, mid-barrel and muzzle beads, and a gold-colored trigger.  Other accessories include the original cardboard box with styrofoam inserts.

The barrel is labeled on the left side with “LT20 GA. 2¾”.  The barrel is labeled on the right side with “REMINGTON ARMS Co. ILION, NY”.  The receiver is plain with “Remington 1100” and the serial number stamped on the left side and “Sporting 20” stamped on the right side.

The length of pull is 14 inches.  The drop at the comb is about 1¾ inches.  The drop at the heel is 2¼ inches.  Date of manufacture is August 23, 2020 (based on barrel code WN and the box label code 23WN).

This gun was won in a “Plaid Shirt Night” raffle in in Michigan in 2019 (see raffle photo), and the subsequently sold it to a gun dealer who sold it to the current owner (the gun is on consignment).  The current owner says the gun dealer said it had never been fired.  I believe that to be the case, as I have not seen anything about the gun that would refute his claim.

The condition of the gun is 99+ percent, with two issues (keep reading).  The finish on metal and walnut wood is all original and in new condition.  The barrel is 100 percent, with no marks or other blemishes of any type.  The receiver and trigger guard are also 100 percent, with no marks or blemished.  The forearm is new condition with one issue – on the left side of the forend, at the top right corner, a small piece of the corner was cracked, and I had to remove it to repair (glue) it (visible in the photo).  There are no other marks on the forearm.  The checkering is deep, crisp, and unmarred.  The checkering on the pistol grip is also deep, crisp, and unmarred.  The stock is also in new condition, engraving notwithstanding.  The butt plate bears the Remington crest.

NOTE:  THE “PLAID SHIRT NIGHT” SEAL INSCRIBED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE STOCK IS AN AFTER-MANUFACTURE ADDITION.  Plaid Shirt Night is a charity event to raise money for “Hungry for Christ Food Ministry” and “Arbor Circle”.  The gun was inscribed and raffled at the charity’s 2019 annual fund-raising event.  As you can see, the inscription was very professionally done and is very attractive.

The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($45) and insurance ($22.75) per the USPS.  Virginia buyers must pay 5.3% sales tax.

The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money orders, as they are like cash, and I don’t have to wait for them to clear.  However, I will accept a personal check, other type checks, or other type money orders, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; that includes bank checks and cashier’s checks.  Keep in mind that USPS money orders are limited to $1,000, so this purchase will require two USPS money orders.  Check or money orders must be made out to Jerry Pownall.
