It is said in the UK that of all the double guns built there before WWII that 90% were 12g. guns.
The next most common gauge among the remaining 10% were 20g. guns, the next were 16g. guns , and the next .410 doubles.
Interesting that 28g. were the smallest and rarest gauge of guns built in the UK during this period.
This explains why they are so hard for us to find and why it is common when we are searching for them that when asking a dealer they often
