Description: John Patstone & Son Boxlock Ejector, made in 1935, 2" chambered 12 bore, 5 lbs. 6 oz., ejectors, original 26" fluid steel barrels choked .005 Skt and .012 Mod., smooth concave game rib engraved "Patstone & Son, High Street Southampton, Silver Medal London 1885, Paris 1878", breech end of rib in silver "2" Only", original 7/8 oz. nitro proof, striped barrel face, case colored boxlock action with border engraving and maker's name on both sides, automatic safety with "SAFE" in silver inlay, very well figured English walnut stock 14 1/4" LOP over a checkered butt, straight grip with long trigger guard extension, splinter forend with A&D push button release, vacant stock oval, 1 1/2" DAC x 2 1/4" DAH, 1/4" cast off. Excellent, near new cosmetic condition gun with excellent bores, bores measure .730 in both, minimum barrel wall thickness is .023 and .025, gun is tight and on face and in proof, gun likely has been through a complete restoration of finishes including a restock, blue and case colors remain at or near 100%, almost no wood handling marks. Gun was imported into the US by Woodcock Hill, we sold the gun to the current owner a decade ago in same condition and was unused by the owner. These 2" chambered 12 bores were predominately made in the decade leading up to WWII with very few ever made after the war. Made on 20 bore actions, they were very lightweight and fast handling.
