Meriden Arms Sidelock Double Shotgun
Description: Serial #62097, 12 Ga. (2 3/4"), 30" barrels (choked Full and Full) with fine, bright bores that have a few spots of mild freckling towards the breeches. There is a Partial ring in the right barrel that looks to have been repaired. This is a handsome gun that has strong twist pattern along the barrels, and retains 60-70% of the original color case-hardening on the frame and sideplates. The trigger guard retains about 80-85% of the original blue, and the walnut forend and buttstock have scattered handling marks and minor blemishes throughout. The lock-up is tight, and the lever is still right of center. The stock has a 14" LOP to the original hard rubber buttplate, and has drops of 1 1/2" and 2 3/4" respectively. This is a fine example of a well-made American double, and would make a great addition to a collection.
