Remington 1100, 12-Gauge Autoloading Shotgun
Description: Remington Model 1100, 12-gauge, autoloading shotgun with a high-polished, blued 28-inch, modified-choke barrel with a ventilated rib, a 2¾-inch chamber, and muzzle sight bead and a high-gloss checkered walnut stock and forend. The length of pull is 12½ inches. The drop at the comb is about 1½ inches. The drop at the heel is about 2 1/8 inches. The year of manufacture of this shotgun is early to mid 1970s, probably 1973 or 1974. There are no box, papers, or other accessories with this gun. The overall condition of the gun is 98+ percent. Because the LOP is 12½ inches, I think the stock was shorten at some point, perhaps to accommodate a youth or a woman. There is a little roughness all the way around the bottom of the stock where the stock meets the White Line butt pad, and there is a ¼ x 1/3-inch area where the finish is rough and through the finish. The White Line recoil pad seems to be a little dry with an age crack running through the white line. The metal of the gun is in excellent condition. The barrel is 99 percent with a bright, shiny bore. There is one small (½ inch) slightly shiny place on the left side of the barrel, about 8 inches back from the muzzle. There are some ½ scratches on the left side of the barrel starting at the muzzle. There are no marks or other blemishes on the rest of the barrel. The receiver and trigger guard are also 99 percent. The top left side of the receiver, on line with the front trigger plate pin, is a small rough area that may have been surface rust, but it has been arrested. There is no rust, if that is what it was, anywhere else on the gun. Also on the left side and at the bottom front of the receiver, covered by the rear end of the forend, is a shiny area (no rust) caused by contact with the forend. Other than those two exceptions, there are other marks or blemishes on the receiver. The forearm is 99 percent. There are a couple of very small dents and two places where the finish is chipped; one is about ¼ x 1/8 inch, and the other is about the size of a BB. There is also a small chip or gouge a little smaller than a BB on the bottom right side of the forend, about four inches from the front of the forend. Other than that, the checkering on the forend deep, crisp, and unmarred; it looks new. The stock is also 98+ percent. In addition to what I mentioned above regarding shorting the stock, there are a couple of very small marks only visible in the right light and at the right angle. The checkering on the stock is also deep, crisp, and unmarred. There is a dark place on the left side of the stock where the stock meets the receiver, but I believe it is the color of the wood. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better. The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($45) and insurance ($11.50) per the USPS . The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money orders, as they are like cash. I will ship the revolver immediately upon receipt of a USPS money order and an FFL. I will also accept a personal check or other type money, as well as bank checks and cashier's checks, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks. I do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal. Check or money order must be made out to Jerry Pownall or Barboursville Arms. SOLD |
