History

Designed by John Moses Browning and produced under license from Fabrique Nationale.  A near-dead ringer for the venerated Browning Auto-5.  Approximately 300,000 were made from 1911 to 1948.  This gun was made in the first or second year of production.

Condition

The gun has been reblued and refinished.  It still has the original wooden magazine plug.  There was a repair on the stock that is hard to notice, and some light pitting marks shows on the receiver from the rust removal before rebluing.  The bore shines, and the gun is mechanically sound, ready to hunt or add to your Browning Auto-5 collection.  The weapon functions smoothly and is clean inside and out.  It is a fine example of the birth of the Auto-5.
