2010 Vintage Remington Model 1100 Competition 12 Ga. Shotgun w/ Deluxe Walnut Adjustable Stock & Original Box, Chokes, Etc. SOLD

This is a beautiful all-original Remington Model 1100 Competition 12 Ga. shotgun with the since-discontinued Deluxe American Walnut stock set with an adjustable comb in excellent condition.  This handsome shotgun comes complete with it's original box and 5 factory "Probore" extended choke tubes.  First introduced in 2006, the Model 1100 Competition was Remington's top-of-the-line 12 gauge Model 1100 variation.  It features a unique and handsome nickel/Teflon finish on the receiver and internals, a 30" inch barrel with a 10mm target-style rib, an R3 recoil pad, and several stock options to choose from including high-gloss Deluxe American Walnut ( due to high costs Walnut was discontinued in 2011).  The Model 1100 Competition quickly earned a reputation for being very well-made, reliable, and attractive, particularly with the Walnut stock option.  This particular example was made in 2010 and remains in near-new condition.  It was bought new by the original owner who put less than 3 boxes of shells thru it before it was put into storage.  It is fully optioned out with a beautiful checkered high-gloss American Walnut stock set with an adjustable comb.  The nickel/Teflon finish on the receiver rates 98% plus, while the factory high-gloss blue finish on the barrel rates 99%.  The bore in the 30" inch barrel is mirror-bright and pristine, with no pitting, dents, bulges, or imperfections of any kind.  The factory stock set is spectacular with lots of contrasting grain and figure visible in both the buttstock and forearm.  The checkered panels on the wrist and forearm are still crisp and clean, and the gloss clearcoat wood finish is bright, clear, and 100% intact.  If not for a few tiny little handling marks in the wood it would be like-new.  As you can see from the pictures, none of these deductions from the stock set detract from the beautiful overall look of this gun.  All of the controls on this Remington are in perfect working order, and the action is slick and locks into battery with authority.  This Model 1100 Competition will function perfectly like it left the factory yesterday rather than 9 years ago.  If you have been looking for a handsome new sporting clays or skeet gun for your collection this Remington would be a superb choice.  In our opinion these deluxe Walnut-stocked guns are many times better looking than the synthetic stocked guns, and much classier as well.  This is a Model 1100 you could truly carry with pride into any field anywhere in the world.
