12 Ga. Remington Model 11-87 Special Purpose Rifled Slug Gun SOLD

For sale, a Remington Model 11-87 Special Purpose 12 gauge rifled slug gun complete with a Cabelas 3.5 to 10 power scope on a cantilever mount, and an extra "field" barrel that is 28 inches long with a vent rib and screw in chokes.  This is the ultimate do-it-all utility shotgun.  As it sits now it's ready for deer season fitted with a factory Remington 21 inch rifled slug barrel that has a factory mounted cantilever scope mount topped with a Cabela's Guide series 3.5 to 10X variable power scope.  When deer season ends you can remove the slug barrel and mount up the 28 inch ventilated rib field barrel with screw in chokes for the rest of the year.  This Remington 11-87 will handle 2.75 or 3 inch shells in either barrel, and the field barrel is steel shot safe.  The 11-87 design is a proven winner that is both reliable and easy to clean.  The gas powered system does a great job of reducing felt recoil and give you the ability to fire lightning fast follow-up shots.  The cantilever style scope mount is mounted directly on the barrel rather than the receiver, which keeps the scope zero'ed no matter how many times the barrel is removed from the receiver.  This Model 11-87 is used but in excellent condition and shows no wear or signs it has even been fired since it left the factory.  The internals are spotless as is the bolt face and the shell carrier.  There is no wear on the bottom of the shell carrier which occurs after loading this model only a handful of times.  Both barrels have minty bores.  The rifled slug barrel is bright and clean with prominent rifling with sharp lands and grooves.  It is 100% free from pitting or erosion.  The 28 inch field barrel is also bright and clean with no pitting or erosion.  It has a "Modified" Remchoke choke tube installed in it.  Everything works on this Remington 11-87 100% like it did the day it left the Remington factory.  The scope is also in like-new condition with clear optics and is free from scratches or wear and tear.  It has a duplex style reticle and both the windage and elevation adjustments work perfectly, as do also the magnification selector ring and the adjustable objective lens.  This package includes a very nice black Butler Creek neoprene sling that matches the shotgun nicely.  If you have been looking for a shotgun that does it all this would be an excellent choice!  To put one together exactly like this with all of these parts would cost more than double our price tag.
