PURDEY BEST SIDELOCK PAIR 12 GAUGE
Description: A reunited pair that were completed in 1903 for Colonel George R. Fearing of the Newport Artillery Company. He built "The Orchard" in Newport R.I. The gold inlay on the top levers is also prominent on the front gate pillars. The guns are solid with different LOP. One gun is 14 7/8" and the other is 14". Both guns show moderate signs of use, with wear to the bluing on the barrels and moderate handling marks on the stocks. Gun number 2 of the set also appears to have intermittent ejector issues.
