MATCHED PAIR; 28" (1/A) & 26 (2/B)" BARRELS, GOLD LINE COCKING INDICATORS, 1/A BARRELS: IMPROVED CYLINDER AND MODIFIED, 2 1/2", 2/B BARRELS: IMPROVED CYLINDER AND IMPROVED CYLINDER, DOUBLE TRIGGERS, EJECTORS, NON AUTOMATIC SAFETY, STRAIGHT HAND GRIP, GAME FOREND, LEATHER COVERED RECOIL PADS

A matched pair of sidelock ejector shotguns with extra barrel sets. Barrels (1/A) are 26" chopper lump nitro proved barrels with 2-3/4" chambers, choked Skeet 1 and Skeet 2 and a ribless top. Barrels (2/B) are 28" nitro proved barrels with 2-3/4" chambers, choked Modified and Full and a ribless top. Tops of the right barrel are engraved "J PURDEY & SONS" while the top of the left barrels are engraved "AUDLEY HOUSE SOUTH AUDLEY STREET LONDON ENGLAND". Ribs near the breeches are engraved "1" and "2" respectivley. The action bodies are adorned with bold foliate scrolls with coin finish. The bottoms of the action bodies are engraved "J PURDEY & SONS" in banner, engraved top levers with left side checkered thumb pieces and "SAFE" gold inlay on top tangs ahead of engraved and checkered slide safties. The actions are fit with double triggers protected by engraved trigger guards, gold line cocking indicators, disc set strikers and automatic safties. Well figured reddish brown deluxe Turkish walnut stocks with checkered English straight hand grips, drop points, engraved stock ovals and engraved steel skeleton buttplates. The straight hand grips are supported by long engraved bottom tangs with serial numbers. Splinter forends with matching checkering and Anson style push button releases. The exterior steel of forends are similarly engraved. Interior steel of forends are engraved "1" "1B" and "2" "1B" respectively, 14-1/2" LOP's to engraved steel heel and toe plates. The shotguns are presented in a pair of oak and leather travel case with brass corners and canvas covers.
