PERAZZI MADE IN 1967 - FACTORY CHISELED ENGRAVED GAME SCENES - RARE
Description: Very rare and early (1967) Factory engraved Perazzi with chiseled game scenes showcasing wonderful relief and detail. The Karl Lippard book on Perazzi Shotguns has a final chapter Titled "Miscellaneous". In that chapter was a reprint of the Pachmayr Brochure of Perazzi Shotguns (Pachmayr was the first official importer of Perazzi Shotguns). This engraving pattern was featured in the brochure. A careful check of the receiver for an engraver's signature yielded no success. It is very typical for guns from this time period to be unsigned. Forend iron and latch have matching engraving in scroll. This gun appears to be a pigeon gun in all respects. Barrels are 29" (barrels could be ordered in standard lengths of 26 1/2", 28", 28 1/2", 29", 30" and 31 7/8"). The under barrel is .728 with 21/1000 choke (Tight Mod) while the top is also .728 with 33/1000 choke (Full). Mirror perfect bores. Barrels are ported by Pro-Port I believe. Removable trigger. Safety is blocked (easily changed) as was typical for pigeon guns. The rib is 11mm x 11mm. Ivory front bead. Center bead has been removed and not replaced. Ribs are tight. Lock up is tight. Wood is well figured with attractive mineral streaks and very straight grain. Stock is cast off. LOP is 14 11/16". Drop at comb - 1 1/2". Drop at heel - 2 1/16". The weight is 7 LBS 12 5/8 OZ making it a very quick and dynamic feeling gun. No case is provided. Shipping is $100. C&R accepted.
