Parker Trojan 16 Gauge – DOUBLE SHOTGUN, BVTL, NICE! - vintage firearms inc
Description: Parker Trojan 16 Gauge Side-by-Side BEAVERTAIL, NICE! General Specs: Parker, Year 1928, 16 Gauge, 6lbs 13oz, SxS Serial Number: 223293 Let’s face it, Parker 16ga. doubles are the most costly vintage American double shotguns on the market. Just like in 1912 when the Parker Trojan model was first introduced, some of us cannot afford an engraved “GRADED” Parker 16ga., so Parker gave us the Trojan Model. The Trojan Model makes it affordable to walk the fields and clays course with the gun you have always wanted; a Parker just like your dad’s or granddad’s. The Trojan is the exact same mechanism as any other Parker with a few less options you simply don’t need to go shoot up your favorite birds or clays. This particular Trojan, sn 223293 built in 1928, is a great little gun with 80% factory case color, 95% factory blue on the 28” M/F barrels, mirror bores, great wood with a nicely fitted, hand filling beavertail forend. This Parker has perfect mechanics, awesome screws, no cracks or repairs, and nice shooting dimensions. It has been used over the years but well cared for, as it is in very clean, untouched, original condition with superb wood to metal fit, full length buttstock, all original factory finishes, and the more desirable 28” barrels. Somebody went through a $1000 expense adding the custom beavertail forend that is done to perfection and really changes the way the gun handles for the better. If you like beavertail forends, this is likely the only Parker Trojan you will see wearing one! Weighing a comfortable 6 3/4lbs. and balanced perfectly on the hinge pin, it is the perfect gun for long walks in the upland fields or grouse woods and will hold its own on the sporting clays course as you practice or compete. This gun will be a good investment for you as it will be worth more next year than it is this year as nice Parker 16ga. guns are becoming scarce. Thanks for looking!
