This weapon has a fully rifled and ported 22 inch barrel with adjustable iron sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting bases. The stock is a black non-reflective synthetic with swivel studs and a rubber recoil pad. It is chambered to use both 2 3/4" and 3" shells. It has a removable box magazine holding two shells. Weight is 7 ½ pounds. This model was first marketed by Mossberg in 1996. I bought it new in 1997 or 1998. It has never been fired (except by Mossberg) and is in like new condition. (Sent to Mossberg February 2022 for recall: fixed, test fired and returned.)

The Mossberg Slugster 695 however, is not designed to shoot birds although it can do so very well if asked.
