LC Smith Field Grade 16 Ga. 2 3/4 chambers

Description:
This is a Field Grade LC Smith 16 ga., 2 3/4 inch chambers, 26 inch barrels, probably choked IC and Modified, with extractors.  It was made very early in the Field Grade production, probably around 1913, as it is serial #5120 with a FW prefix, meaning feather weight.  The photos show the factory grade markings.  If you have any questions I can share the LC Smith Collectors Association information on this model with you that I have seen.
The gun weighs 6lb 6oz and the length of pull is 13 inches from the front trigger to the butt.  The bores are bright and shiny, and the action is tight.  The wood is excellent (I think it was refinished at some point).  The bluing is worn on the barrels into a patina.  This gun was used by a friend’s father in the Adirondacks and he attached a sling holder to the barrel (which you can see in photo 3 of the underside of the barrels).
