Description: This stunning LC Smith 12-gauge Specialty Grade shotgun has 32-inch barrels, a beautifully figured walnut stock with a straight grip, beavertail forend, pristine engraving, and substantial original case color. The gun has automatic ejectors and a Hunter One-Trigger. It has many of the features of an early LC Smith double-barrel trap gun. The 32” barrels are both choked Full (.035) and have 2-3/4-inch chambers. The bore diameters at 9 inches from the breech are both .727. The wall thicknesses (top/side/bottom) for the right barrel at 9” from muzzle are .030/.025/.022 and at the middle of the barrel are .031/.031/.027. The wall thicknesses of the left barrel are .031/.025/.031 and .031/.027/.035, respectively. The bores are mirror-like. The bluing, which was redone at some point, is rubbed on both sides where the beavertail forend wood fits against the barrels. The drop at the comb is 1-5/8” and at the heel 2-3/8”. Length of pull from the front trigger to the end of a period Red Head pad is 14-1/2”. Cast is neutral. The gun weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces. The ejectors and Hunter One Trigger function properly. The gun locks up tight and is on face; the top lever returns to the right of center. All serial numbers, RE 47861, match. The price does not include shipping cost, which is paid by buyer. The inspection period is 7 days from receipt. The gun has been fired using standard factory 2-3/4” target loads on many occasions.
