****SOLD****Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight Repeating Pump Shotgun 12 Gauge **True American Classic**
Description: ****SOLD****Here we have an honest and true workhorse of a pump shotgun - an Ithaca Model 37 12 gauge. The Ithaca Model 37 is a true American classic. It’s the lone survivor of the pre-World War II pump-action shotguns—the Winchester Model 12 and Model 97, and the Remington 31. What set the 37 apart was its action. The model 37 ejects empty shells at the bottom. Bottom ejection has several benefits: Empties are ejected at the shooter’s feet (and not at a buddy), the action is better protected from debris and bottom-ejecting guns work well for left-handed shooters. This particular example is in good condition overall with a bit of high edge wear and some scratches on the barrel and receiver that look to be mostly from going into and out of a gun safe. The receiver has a waterfowl scene on the left side and an upland scene on the right. The stock and forend are in good condition with most marks being at the bottom of the heel of the stock. The 28" barrel has a very nice bore and a fiber optic front sight and is choked fixed modified. This gun has a 2 3/4 inch chamber. This classic shotgun has a smooth action and everyting works like it should. The gun has sling swivels front and rear. This Ithaca would make a great addition to a collection of classic pump shotguns and a great "user" gun.
