28" BARRELS, IMPROVED CYLINDER AND IMPROVED MODIFIED, 2-3/4", DOUBLE TRIGGERS, STRAIGHT HAND GRIP, SPLINTER FOREND, BUTTPLATE, 6 LBS - 9 OZ, 1-3/8" DAC, 1-7/8" DAH, 14-1/2" LOP

English made boxlock ejector 12-gauge game gun with 28" blacked round nitro proved barrels that are fit with ejectors, a tapered smooth concave game rib and a steel bead front sight. Proved for 2-3/4" cartridges and choked Improved Cylinder & Improved Modified. Bottoms of barrel flats are stamped with original Birmingham nitro proofs and London 2008 re-proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers. The rib has shallow roll marks reading: "HOLLOWAY & NAUGHTON LTD MAKERS, BIRMINGHAM, LONDON AND PARIS" The patina coin finished action body with blacked bottom cover plate is adorned with rose bouquets and fine English Arabesque Scrolls and "HOLLOWAY & NAUGHTON LTD" on both sides of the action body near the action flats. The boxlock action is fitted with a hidden third fastener, a blacked engraved top lever with the left side of the thumbpiece checkered and an automatic safety with gold-inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and lightly engraved safety slide. The double triggers are protected by a blacked engraved trigger guard ending in a long, blacked and engraved bottom strap. Best quality walnut stock with straight hand grip, drop points, classic point-pattern checkering, vacant stock oval, and splinter fore-end with Anson type push button release with an engraved escutcheon. 14-1/2" LOP to a scored ebonite buttplate, 6 Lbs. - 9 Oz.
