Description: Antique ISAAC HOLLIS & Sons Double Barrel SHOTGUN ENGRAVED Early 20th Century British Hammer Shotgun Here we present an Isaac Hollis & Sons Double Barrel Shotgun in 12 Gauge, manufactured in London circa the early 1900s. Isaac Hollis & Sons was British gunmaker from London. Throughout the years, Hollis manufactured sporting firearms for the British as well as the export market for American and South African. They also built rifles for the British government. Around 1915, Hollis merged to form the company of Hollis, Bentley and Playfair. They remained in business until 1935. Hollis also built some very good quality guns. Both locks are marked “I. HOLLIS & SONS”. The top of the barrel is marked “I. Hollis & Sons / Laminated Steel”. It is fitted with 3” chambers, modified/modified chokes, and a 13 ½ Length of Pull. The overall condition is very good. The iron parts have a gray patina. The markings are clear. The walnut stock remains in nice shape. The bores are clean and smooth. The actions remain strong and crisp. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 30 inches.
