Holland & Holland Royal Hammerless Ejector 12 Bore with 30” Barrels and Great Engraving
Description: *** REDUCED *** Handsome and great handling Holland & Holland Royal Hammerless Ejector. A classic sidelock ejector game gun from one of Britain’s storied gunmakers. No. 1 of a pair Holland & Holland 23233 was made in 1903 and has sharp and profuse engraving. Double triggers, automatic ejectors, 7-pin sidelock, and auto safety. Tight on face in good mechanical condition. Nicely figured stock and forearm. Presented in a period case with maker’s label, crystal oil bottle, and two-piece mahogany cleaning rod. Weighs 6lb 9oz. The 30” nitro steel chopper lump barrels are chambered for 2-1/2” shotshells and have automatic ejectors. Rumors to the contrary notwithstanding, low pressure 2-1/2” shotshells are currently being imported by Game Bore and Armusa and are available as well from RST Shells. They are topped by a raised solid tapered concave game style rib. The top of the right barrel is inscribed “Holland & Holland”. The top of the left barrel is inscribed “98 New Bond Street, London”. The bores are shiny and bright and the bluing is in very good condition. The right barrel is bored 0.735 and has a constriction of 0.005 for Skeet choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.025. The left barrel is bored 0.733 with a constriction of 0.027 for Modified choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.027. The stock and forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut. The stock has a swept back Prince of Wales style pistol grip. The checkering is crisp. Stock dimensions are 14-3/8” including a 7/8” new brown leather recoil pad by 1-5/8” by 2-1/8”. Cast-off for the righthand shot. One of the handsomest doubles ever made these Holland & Holland Royal Hammerless Ejectors make a great handling game gun. This one is in good mechanical and cosmetic condition and ready to harvest more game. Great for clays as well. Don’t wait too long. NOTE: The photographs are part of the description.
