J.B. Ronge 16 gauge Hammer Gun 30
Description: This is an unusual field grade 16 gauge hammer gun with attractive back action side locks and a desirable round action…It was made around 1900 or so, by J.B. Ronge, a gun making firm located for about 150 years in Liege, Belgium…The 30" fluid steel barrels are not choked. 2 ¾" chambers with fine bores…Petite round action, with fine back action lock works…14 1/4" length of pull over steel butt plate…Drops are 11/2 and 2 ½" …Weighs a svelte 6 ½ pounds…Some minimal engravings found on action and lock plates…Overall, very good condition, with no issues…This is not a highly embellished rich mans gun, but more like a basic farmers gun, made to protect stock and put game on the table…As such, its condition makes it quite rare, as most guns of this grade were used up and discarded or confiscated by the Germans, twice…Interestingly, the barrel flats are stamped with both Belgian and German nitro proofs…Keep your loads light and the screws tight and this little gun could last another 100 years! Ship to ffl or c&r… Price: $695.00 Curio/Relic: Yes Shotgun Gauge: 16 Gauge Contact Seller |
