*** SOLD *** Handsome A.H. Fox Sterlingworth 16 gauge with 28” barrels. Double triggers and extractors. Great bluing and loads of original case coloring on the bottom, top, sides, water table, and topstrap. Manufactured in the Philadelphia Fox works in 1915 – 16. Weighs 5lb 13oz. *** The 28” extractor barrels have their original bluing and it is in great condition. They are topped by a raised crosshatched rib with a silver bead front sight. The right barrel is bored 0.668 with a constriction of 0.007 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is bored 0.662 and has a constriction of 0.014 for Modified choke. The bores are shiny but the right barrel has some moderate pitting on the left side and bottom. Lightweight and great handling: A perfect double for the upland gunner which is exactly what this lethal little bird gun was designed to be. *** The splinter forearm and pistol grip buttstock are original and show some normal wear in the checkering. There are some minor scratches on the stock and forearm commensurate with its age. Stock dimensions are 14-1/4” over a thin plastic factory buttplate by 1-5/8” by 2-5/8”. *** *** I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL license.
