*** NEW PRICE *** Nice ejector Sterlingworth in 12 gauge with 30” barrels with original 2-5/8” chambers.. Shiny bores and topped with a raised solid matted rib. Serial number is 89475 made circa 1920. Double triggers and ejectors. Gun weighs just 7lb 2oz. *** The pistol grip stock and splinter forearm finish shows some wear and handling marks but have decent figure that could easily be brought out with a little work. The pistol grip has a factory grip cap. Stock dimensions are 14-1/4” over a 1” rubber recoil pad by 1-1/2” by 2-1/2”. *** The barrel bluing is in good shape and the barrels have the original 2-5/8” chamber length. Inscribed on the barrels are “Sterlingworth Fluid Compressed Steel” and A.H. Fox Gun Co. Phla PA USA”. The bores are shiny and the right choke is tight at Full choke. The left barrel has been opened up to 0.008” for Improved Cylinder choke. This is actually an advantage given the lateral recoil movement of side-by-side barrels. Firing the left barrel first keeps the stock firmly against the right handed shooter’s cheek for a quick, accurate follow-up shot. This is a nice old Sterlingworth ejector that is in decent mechanical condition. It is relatively light weight for a 12 gauge Fox making it easier to carry afield. What stories it could tell.
