Spectacular one-of-a-kind matched trio of McKay Brown side-by-side guns. These guns are, as matched guns should be, exactly alike in every respect: Double triggers, automatic ejectors, auto-safeties, 28” barrels with 2 ¾" chambers and smooth concave game ribs, choked exactly the same, right at .015" and left at .020". Engraved by Dave Tallett. The guns bear 2002 London proof marks and were finished and delivered to their American customer in 2003. These guns are in overall excellent condition with some minor handling marks.
Built on the Scottish trigger plate action, the guns have a pleasingly rounded action bar resulting in good weight distribution and inherent strength. They are stocked in a lovely set of well-matched stock blanks with straight hand grips and splinter forends. Stocks have a 15" LOP over checkered butts, drop is 1 3/8” (comb), 2” (at heel), and the guns are cast off 1/8". Each gun weighs 6 lbs. 2 oz. and all come in the Maker's three-gun motor case with accessories.
David McKay Brown has sold the business and, though they continue to make guns, he is no longer directly involved in making the guns that bear his name.
