Winchester M21 20 28 Ga - CSMC, #5 ENGR, 3-BARREL SET, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: CSMC, Year 2016, 28; 20 Gauge, 6lbs. 13oz., Chokes SK/IC; SK/IC; IC/M, LOP 14 7/8", DAH 2 3/8", DAC 1 9/16" Serial Number: W38837 Tony Galazan and his Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company are the King of the Model 21 world. First having "AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER" status, then buying out U.S. Repeating Arms of all their inventory and completing Model 21 guns with said inventory, to becoming the sole builder of the famous Model 21 in his own factory, CSMC has earned its reputation for building Winchester’s Model 21 in all its glory. CSMC has created numerous Model 21 guns that would be considered the finest examples of gun art, with incredible engraving and inlays. The masterpiece we present to you here was ordered by an experienced gunner that really knew what a great, classic side x side should have as features and upgrades. Built as a 3-barrel set ON AN ACTION WITH LIGHTENING CUTS ON THE WATER TABLE, consisting of a 28” 28-gauge, a 28” 20-gauge, and a 29” 20 gauge, all choked for different uses in the field or on the clays course. Stocked with an English grip and traditional splinter forend from a stunning blank of Exhibition Turkish walnut, adorned with Winchester’s A Carved checkering pattern, and finished at the butt with heel and toe plates…it just doesn’t get any better! The engraving is Winchester’s #5 pattern, with fabulous birds and dog consisting of a superb flighted grouse on the left, an exceptional woodcock in flight on the right, and the owner’s English setter staunchly on point highlighted on the trigger plate. The engraving was executed by Anthony (Tony) Tuscano, a highly respected engraver as is evidenced by his work on this gun. Look closely at the details of the birds and dog, the borders and scroll, and you will find it superior to many CSMC Model 21 guns. In fact, this gun is engraved with much more detail than most all the late guns that came out of USRAC in the last 10 years of Winchester production. As a final touch, jeweling was applied to the standing breech, water table, barrel flats, forend lugs, and forends…a classy touch the gun deserves. The specifications are listed below, and you will note that the chokes will cover all scenarios an upland hunter will encounter following a fine pointing dog afield. The stock dimensions will please a large portion of the shooting public. Review the photos and you will witness a truly stunning Model 21, a shining example of the capabilities of Tony Galazan’s Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company and the American gunmaker’s art. Best of all, the gun was properly housed in another masterpiece from Marvin Huey of Huey cases that truly protects and displays this gorgeous gun in the very best light possible. The case and accessories would cost close to $4000 to have built today, adding to the overall desirability and value of this fine Model 21 set. TO HAVE THIS SET BUILT TODAY WOULD EXCEED $40,000 AND TAKE OVER A YEAR TO GET. Showing as new, barely fired, and priced very affordably considering the overall package, in perfect time for the upland bird season that is upon us. Don’t hesitate to call on this one-of-a-kind offering…she won’t last long. Thanks for looking!
